We are a team passionate about the sea, cetaceans and experiences that leave a lasting impression. Since 2015 we have been sailing from Puerto Colón to offer something the big catamarans simply cannot: genuine attention, small groups and a luxury sailing boat that becomes yours for a few hours.
A small company that does things in a big way
Big Smile Luxury Charters was founded in 2015 in the south of Tenerife with one clear goal: to offer a service that actually means something. We are not trying to fill an 80-person boat. We want every single person who comes on board to leave with an enormous smile.
Our commitment is to safety, sustainability and the wellbeing of marine wildlife. We respect the space and habits of the animals at all times, and we use hydrophones on board so you can hear cetaceans communicating beneath the surface.
We operate with groups of up to 10 people, which guarantees real space on deck, quiet on board and a level of attention no mass excursion can match.

The captain and crew
On board the Big Smile there are no fixed roles or plastic uniforms. There are people who have spent years in these waters, who know every cove, every current and every behavioural pattern of the short-finned pilot whales that inhabit the Costa Adeje channel.
The captain is multilingual and has spent over a decade sailing the south of Tenerife. He talks with guests, points out the species, explains what you are seeing and makes sure every departure is different from the last.
The rest of the crew share the same philosophy: attention to detail, catering, safety and a smile are part of the service, not extras.
